The upcoming movie is set for a direct release on Prime Video, bypassing a traditional theatrical run. It's reported that both Jake Gyllenhaal and director Doug Liman expressed dissatisfaction with this release strategy, believing that the film had the potential for success in theaters, given positive test screenings. Nevertheless, the movie is featured prominently in Prime Video's 2024 lineup, as showcased in the sizzle reel. Sneak peeks of other anticipated releases such as Musica, Ricky Stanicky, Role Play, and The Underdoggs, as well as upcoming shows like Hazbin Hotel, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Fallout, are also highlighted. The reel teases new episodes of Them, The Boys, and Invincible.

The Road House remake, which is R-rated, will premiere on Prime Video on March 21, 2024. The original film is also currently streaming on Max.
