The Netflix mega-hit, "Wednesday", which premiered in the fall of 2022 and gained immense popularity, has made it one of the streaming giant's most-watched original series to date.

While on the red carpet during E!'s Emmy Awards pre-show, Jenna Ortega shared with Laverne Cox that she's already got her hands on the scripts for the next season of "Wednesday." This disclosure adds an extra layer of excitement for fans, sparking curiosity about the upcoming developments in the hit Netflix series.

I’ve received some scripts now for the second season, and we’re definitely leaning into a little bit more horror,” Ortega told Laverne Cox. “It’s really, really exciting because all throughout the show [Wednesday] never really changes and that’s what’s wonderful about her.”

She continued, “There’s some really good one-liners and I think everything is bigger. It’s a lot more action-packed. I think each episode will probably feel a little bit more like a movie, which is nice.”

Expect more action and a movie-like feel in the upcoming season. The pacing will be well-structured with balanced episodes, possibly meaning less talking and more excitement. With the added horror elements, it's shaping up to be an intense and thrilling viewing experience.

Jenna Ortega entered the Emmys with a prestigious nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her standout performance in the first season of "Wednesday." This recognition not only distinguished her as the second-youngest nominee in the category, succeeding Patty Duke, but also solidified her status as the youngest Latina actress ever nominated for this esteemed honor.
